Ambev, through the Labs+100 sustainable solutions acceleration program, selected Ceres Seeding to execute a drone seeding pilot project for restoration in areas of water stress. The pilot project consisted of a comparative test between manual seeding and automated seeding with drones. The planting was carried out in December 2023 in the Queluz region (SP).The test carried out on 2 hectares aims to analyze financial, operational and ecological indicators of both seeding methodologies. The project was part of Ambev's project incentive program, co-realized by the Partners for the Amazon Platform, which drives businesses with sustainable solutions. Ceres Seeding was part of the Water Management front of the program, which supports Ambev's goal of guaranteeing access to drinking water in 100% of communities in areas of water stress where the company has a presence.
The project also had the support of The Nature Conservancy Brazil to coordinate access to the planting area. In addition to this partnership, the project had the support of Collard Ambiental, which provided a field team and the seeds used in this pilot project.
